The plate and shell heat exchanger is a heat exchanger with a plate tube as a heat transfer element, also known as a sheet heat exchanger.
Structure
It is mainly composed of two parts: plate tube bundle and shell. The contact points of cold-formed pairs of slats are tightly welded together to form a plate tube containing multiple flat runners. Many plates and tubes of different widths are arranged in a certain order. In order to maintain the spacing between the plates and tubes, metal strips are inserted at both ends of the adjacent plates and tubes and welded together with the plates and tubes. Tube sheets are formed at both ends of the plate tube, so that many plate tubes are firmly connected together to form a plate tube bundle. The end face of the plate tube bundle presents a number of flat flow channel plate tube bundles assembled in the casing, and the longitudinal expansion difference is eliminated by sliding sealing between them and the casing. The cross section of the equipment is generally circular, but also rectangular and hexagonal. A fluid flows in the plate tube, and B fluid flows between the plate tubes in the shell.
The use of this type of structured heat exchange core on a plate and shell heat exchanger can overcome the problems of the existing plate and shell heat exchanger which are difficult to clean and maintain, and are not suitable for low resistance or dirty media.
Specifically, uniformly spaced spherical protrusions and spherical depressions are processed on the surface of the heat exchange plate, and the depth of the spherical depressions and spherical protrusions is 2 to 5 mm and the diameter is 8 to 15 mm. When multiple heat exchange plates are stacked together to form a fluid channel, the spherical convexity on the opposite surface of two adjacent cell plates corresponds to the spherical convexity, and the spherical concave corresponds to the spherical concave, thereby forming the formed many channels in the channel are unobstructed and can easily pass through the dirty fluid. At the same time, the heat exchange core of this structure can be cleaned by mechanical methods such as high-pressure water gun washing.
All-welded plate heat exchanger / plate and shell heat exchanger is suitable for liquid-liquid, vapor-liquid, gas-liquid, gas-gas and other heat exchange processes, and can also be used as a condenser, evaporator, etc. The unique wide flow channel design is especially suitable for heating and cooling process requirements containing a large number of solid particles and fiber suspensions.
