The plate heat exchanger is a new efficient and compact heat exchanger that has developed and extensively used in recent decades.Plate heat exchanger compact structure, unit volume of heat exchange area for shell and tube 2~5 times, also not like shell and tube to reserve the maintenance of the tube bundle, so to achieve the same heat exchange, plate heat exchanger covers an area of about 1/5~1/8 of shell and tube heat exchanger.  
 
Easy to change the heat exchange area or process combination  
 
As long as the increase or decrease of a few plates, can achieve the purpose of increasing or reducing the heat exchange area;  Changing the plate arrangement or replacing several plates can achieve the required process combination and adapt to the new heat exchange conditions

Features

The plate thickness of the plate heat exchanger is only 0.4~1.2mm, and the thickness of the tube of shell and tube heat exchanger is 2.0~2.5mm. The shell and tube shell shell is much heavier than the frame of the plate heat exchanger, and the plate heat exchanger is generally only 1/5 of the weight of the shell and tube.

As long as the frame plate heat exchanger loosens the compression bolt, the plate bundle can be loosened and the plate can be removed for mechanical cleaning, which is very convenient for the heat transfer process of the equipment that needs to be cleaned frequently.  Even part of the all-welded heat exchanger due to its special structure of equipment, can also do on-site mechanical cleaning.  
 
Small heat loss  
 
Plate heat exchangers only the outer shell of the heat transfer plate is exposed to the atmosphere, so the heat loss is negligible and no insulation measures are required

The plate materials and the gasket materials mainly depend on the corrosive properties and temperatures of the cold exchange medium and the heat exchange medium. The plate heat exchanger's plate materials and corresponding applicable places are given in Table 1 and its gasket materials and corresponding applicable places in Table 2 for your reference.
